Red Shoe Project

Collecting sports equipment for kids in need.

Red Shoe Project

Red Shoe Project is an organization that collects athletic shoes and equipment to provide to less fortunate children and teens.

The project was started by Eric Lakomek after realizing that many kids in his community lacked the equipment to play sports. He began collecting new and gently used shoes and equipment and passed them out to the families so that underprivileged kids could have the opportunity to play sports like he did.

Eric began the project the summer of his freshman year in honor of his grandmother, AnnaFaye Beard, who every year would buy him red baseball shoes.
